Title: Ministerio del Tiempo VR, Salva el Tiempo
Director: Rafa Pavón & Pablo Lara
Role: CG Generalist & Photogrammetry Technician
The first project that I worked on in FutureLighthouse was an ‘escape room’ kind of VR experience, based on ‘El Ministerio del Tiempo’ Spanish TV series. It was challenging because we were only 4 artists and we had 3 months to finish it.
My job consisted of, first of all, scanning two of the TV series’ sets using photogrammetry. Then making the scan ready for other artists to use it as a texture and modeling base. I was responsible also for making the retopology of the walls and the floor of each room and cleaning the projected scan textures. And finally, I had to create some of the environment props that were not scanned.
These are some of the non-scanned props that I created:
The following one is a photogrammetry scanned bed that I got the chance to clean and adapt for VR:
These are the pointclouds that I generated in RealityCapture using photogrammetry:
And this is a preview of the result. Some captures of the integration of all the props with lighting and shading, done by our supervisor Javier Garcia Lajara:
